Two deep pin shoot

 It's been a long time since I've gone pin shooting.  In fact, I haven't been since November 7th, 2019 before Covid.  I went to the range yesterday to make sure it was sighted in right and it was really close, only needed a few clicks to adjust an inch right at 13 yards.  

Cathi came to watch and took a couple videos.  So the pins as you can see are laid out 4 across with a pin right behind the first one.  If you hit square it'll knock both off the table.  The table is only about 18 inches deep so it's not like you really need a lot of power.  But it helps.  

At rounds 6 thru 10 they space the second pin behind the front one about 6 inches so you have to focus even to make sure that front pin takes out the one behind it.

Took 15th place out of 30. Not bad considering I was one of two using lever action. Everyone else was shooting semi-auto. Thanks to those who were shooting pistols and could hit crap, and leaving tons of pins on the table. Each one is a 5 second penalty. Lots of fun shooting the Henry Big Boy. At the end of the evening, my shoulder is just a little tender. Not bad, but it has a little kick.

I've heard this argument before.  So just because there is a restriction on shell capacity when hunting ducks, that it applies for all other applications?

Have you considered that ducks aren't predators?  What is the main predator to humans?  

OTHER HUMANS!  

If Hitchcock's movie, The Birds came true, I guarantee that three shell limit would be lifted so quick.  Just because you have an extremely small percentage of all gun owners that are using an ar-15 in a predatory-like behavior to other humans, you feel that the rest of those that do own ar15s should be limited in how many rounds that they can have in a magazine to defend themselves?  That just doesn't make sense.  

Let's just say for the sake of argument some law passes which restricts magazine capacity.  Do you for one minute think that those magazines would just dissolve into thin air, and that evil human predators would obey that law?  There are already laws on the books about not killing people, but that isn't stopping them.  

The argument about limiting magazine capacity for me just doesn't make any sense.  

Anti AR-15 ad got me off my butt

 I’m already a lifetime NRA member however I’ve noticed the best organization that fights for our second amendment rights is not the NRA based on my observations, but Gun Owners of America. 

Today I saw this advertisement on YouTube and finally got me from “thinking about” joining GoA to stopping everything, going online and becoming a member (and then some) to support their efforts to fight for our rights of self defense.

There are alternatives to simply getting rid of guns to protect our children in schools. These alternatives should be explored rather than rely on politicians to do anything.

Apparently there are lots of people who vote that are also ignorant about guns. As well as many other things. 

There are many topics I’m not educated on for sure. But the importance of maintaining a free people that have the ability to defend themselves is a concept that confuses politicians and people. 

The people’s need to protect themselves from governmental tyranny. It’s not a “what if”. But rather a “when”. It’s happened before and if things keep going the way they are trending, it very likely would happen again.

 This sounds really familiar.  Fortunately, we have checks and balances to prevent the 2nd amendment from getting steamrolled.  The Taliban however, with their almost instant overtaking of the Afghan government can't trust their people to not retaliate when the beheadings become more frequent, and rights are taken away in the name of religion.
