CZ Shadow 2

After shooting Bowling pins on pistol night for 10 months, I was sick of not progressing in the pack of shooters, and stuck at a 60th percentile rating.  I did some homework on an upgrade to a pistol designed for a faster performance in competition.  I came across the CZ Shadow 2.

I watched many other youtube vids on the firearm and was sold.  I reached out to Denny at Red Dot, and he got one for me.  I bought it for $1200.  The iron sights are OK, but the rear sight isn't adjustable for windage, so I replaced it.

Upgrades which I did, but NOT really necessary:

1. Adjustable rear sights from CZ Custom for $82.  
2. I bought an externally attached picatinny rail which attaches to the front rail.  So an additional $80 for the rail (with holster
3. Burris fastfire III red dot. ($190)
4. Green lokgrip grips ($75)
5. Ghost "the One" holster ($155)
6. Black Scorpion Competition rig (belt w/ mag mounts): $140

Total package with upgrades: $1,823

After shooting it the first week at pistol night, I jumped from 63% (using my Springfield XD Mod2 9mm with a red dot sight), to 90% using the Shadow 2 with a Burris Red Dot.  The week after that, I took 2nd place!  So without a doubt, this firearm will increase speed and accuracy.  The all steel construction gives the handgun quite a bit of weight, which makes recoil more manageable. The single action gives the trigger weight a very light touch which is awesome.  The grips I put on this make it really bite into your hand which I love.

This is by far my favorite semi-auto handgun in my collection and my most precise.  For the price you pay, it's definitely expected and it lives up to it.

Accuracy: Outstanding!

Weight: Heavy for a handgun (It's all steel)

Recoil: Light for a 9mm

Ergonomics: Exceptional

Trigger quality: 10
